Friday night was a football exhibition at its worst. The game of AFL is in danger of turning into a rugby scrum.

You have the Throw-ins (like Line-outs), then a scrum forms to clear the ball. There is overcrowding at the throw-in (14 players around the ball (15 men in rugby), pack forms, scrumming, crumbing on the ground. Then a clearing kick and 20 players run after the ball and another scrum forms.

It really isn't pretty to watch.
