Post subject: Rocca the Ruckman | |

I went to the freo game on saturday and noticed that as soon as Anthony went into the ruck, we started clearing the ball out of the centre. Not only did Anthony actually get his hands on the ball, but he was actually palming in somewhere in the viccinity of our midfielders. In fact, on at least 4 occassions, he palmed it straight to one of our midefielders chest who kicked the ball out of the centre into our 50m line. Unlike McKee, he has a huge leap and is athletic. The problem with McKee is that he is not ahtletic at all and cannot jump for shit. He is in the mould of J Madden except half the size and slightly more skilful. Maybe Anthony should ruck in the centre and then go to the forward line and McKee can take over around the ground as I dont think its as important around the ground and McKee is OK around the ground as he does not have to jump, merely body with some other ruckman. Something must be done though as in all the practice matches to date, we are being killed out of the centre.
