Yeah, Presti does a great job most of the time, his skills are far better than wakelins too. But wakelin is good as a third tall, to go on the more mobile type.

neither(there good players still) i rate presti and wakes as picking up the 2nd and 3rd best opposition fowards.presti can do a stopping job thou as heb doesnt get a lot of possesions.we need a glen jakovich type of defender who can control chb and bring the runners into it like lonie, lockyer etc

I rate Presti higher but Wakelin if he plays a good game is very very good. However, Presti is alot better these days and plays a good stopping role for the team.

Presti is a great defender. Always reliable. If you stop your opponent every single week playing on a key forward like Presti does then you really dont need a stack of possessions, you've done your job. He might not have the "name" of some full backs or key defenders from other clubs but in my mind he is easily in the best couple of defenders in the league. He does his job magnificently.
Wakes is a proven defender too, but in a different mold to presti. He likes to run off players however I am just a little concerned that wakes has been found lacking on the odd occasion especially when the ball has been seemingly cleared out of our backline, only to see it quickly turned back over and come back in and it finds wakes out of position. Maybe this isnt wakes fault with the turnover, but it can be very painful to watch when all of a sudden he's caught out and you find the opposition being able to set up a seemingly easy shot at goal. Having said that he is still usually a very reliable defender.
