Umpiring Disgrace!!!!

All of the blame rests on the bloody umpire (Number 3). Sitting right behind the goals at the end where it all happened I couldn't believe that Wakes didn't recieve 2 free kicks before the ball was even bounced. This would have eased the situation coz I could tell that this was more than your usual push n shove before a game.

Correct me if Im wrong but I swear I thought that throwing a player without the ball to the ground is a free kick, as is a hand on someones throat. Last time I heard that was above the shoulder. FREE KICK!

Obviously a free kick wasn't paid, allowing Plugger to interpret that as acceptable behaviour! Twisting a fellow professionals neck after nearly paralysing him with a malicious, come-from behind-late "tackle" makes me sick and definately puts a slant on the great game.

Plugger committed the atrocious act, but the bloody umpires (McBurney) weak handling of the situation leading up to the act of thuggery and apparent awe in which he viewed Plugger, which was obvious, was the catalyst for what happened!

Sounds like season 2001, 00, 99, 98, 97, 96, 95, 94, 93, 92, 91, 89, 88, 87, 86, 85, 84, 83, 82, 81, 80, etc ,etc...................
