Post subject: What's the best alternative to Nick's? | |
|
The work that Nick and Mike have done here has been fabulous - its the first site I check when I get to work every day.
However, life must go on and the Pies must be supported. Obviously this site has the best and most passionate supporters, but what suggestions does anybody have for alternative forums?
And which ones should we stay away from?

Hi Whyphilwhy,
After careful consideration and a lot of searching I think I will head to magpiesunlimited....
As it is a new board its a bit hard to forsee what it will be like...but at the moment it feels homey ..
It looks good... Whitey is very friendly and obliging...I think i might settle there... it all depends on where this beautiful Collingwood family will be heading... all over the place I suppose...
For your next question I'll definitely stay away from the bigfooty sewer...
BE LOUD...BE PROUD
(September.... we WILL be there) |

I assume that you are talking about Whiteys forum.
If so then you need to know that if you are signed up to FTO your username and password will be the same on both boards.
The major difference is that FTO have paid big $$$ to rid themselves of those annoying ads and pop-up windows. Whiteys still has these.

FTO has its pros and cons.
It has great web-design and lay out, lots of news and buckets of information on our great club.
Not to mention, total passion and commitment from the ones that run the site. (Flounder just to name one)
I just find that on the BB, it just doesn't have the same type of family atmosphere that Nick's has.
But, still a fantastic site.
And I will continue to go there.

Why go any where else when the BB is still operational.

Nick's is dead, long live Nick's!
Now that Nick's lives, this question and thread are completely redundant and can be erased from the system for all I care.
