wait one more year. I think Fraser could be a great Captain but it too young. Lockyer needs to show he can hold down his position - he did well this year after coming back but needs a good full year to show he's till got what it takes - Rocca maybe, has stepped up in the past under a bit more pressure but is probably under too much pressure with injuries and poor form at, would depend how he was going pre season.

So we should wait another year to see if Locks pulls through 100%, Rocca gets some of his old form back, Fraser steps up, etc.

And Bucks will still be here in two years.

Lica has the respect of the team and whole league for his hard working attitude, love for his players - just ask lockyer, lonie and willingness to do 1% for the team. Perfect captain. Alternatively Rocca could have 3 years in it ala Maxfield - captaincy lifts him to new heights.

Fraser doesn't do hard things, or verbal things - this may change as he ages. Lockyer should be traded. Tarrant is a good mark.

Captain in 2008 - same guy who was captain of the Australian AIS/AFL team against Ireland in 2000.

Problem is, Lica isn't getting any younger, and that could work against him. I think they will go with a youngster, or they may even chose the St. Kilda model - ie. a different captain each year.

Lica is only 26 and a half. That is not old.

Lica for me by a mile. This year was the first time the team has been close enough for me to get to a training session when they came to Maroochydore. Still a 3 hr drive from Bundy but I was not going to miss the chance to get my members caps signed by as many as I could get to. Lica was fantastic, chatted away, asked how I was going. Treated me with respect which is what a Captain should do. Could not get near Bucks and Taz, and never tried as they were surrounded by kids so went after Pebs and Josh. Pebs signed but grudgingly, never opened his mouth. Josh, well he walked straight past me muttering something about, "we've got to get on the bus".

I know it must pee these guys off having to sign autographs at training all the time but really, I wore my Membership card around my neck and my hat on my head to show them I was no fly by nighter.

Once again, Lica for me by a mile:)

Footnote to my previous post, certainly not until Bucks chooses he no longer wants it.

Lica would be a great captain if he was still at Sydney!
