The question St.Kilda have to answer is:-
would they have beaten Port Adelaide if they had Presti but didn't have Del Santo?

Melbourne could ask a similar question:- would they have beaten Essendon if they had Presti but not Bruce (alternatively, if they had Presti but not Bell or Sylvia).

Other questions:- would Geelong have beaten Brisbane if they had Fraser or Ottens but not Kelly and Tennace (I mention Ottens because he is an obvious target for Geelong).

Maggies would have to answer:- would they be better of with Del Santo or Bruce but not Presti? would they be better of with kelly and Tennace and cats not getting Ottens?

As to questions of relative values, if Demons and Saints desperately need a key defender and no reasonable alternative to Presti is available then they can whinge all they want but in the end they have to answer the questions I asked. If they don't like that trade- bad luck, we keep Presti. Under no circumstance should we exchange Presti to them for a second stringer such as X.Clarke (saints) or Armstrong (Melb).

Geelong is another matter, Ottens is a better potential ff than Fraser and they will probably get him for Kelly and Tennace. It will make Geelong a truly acry team next year.

Don't touch Ottens. He is already past his prime.
