Lonie needs to be retained. I know he is no champion but is one of the few with pace and good foot skills |

Bugger. Lets go for Dal Santo or Maguire then. |
I'd add Luke Ball to that list.
I like the Bradshaw idea... |

I'd like to aswell, but reality is that Ball's performances the past few weeks really haven't helped us. |

Ok let's get serious here's some people who we should look at: going from discard lists on other fan sites.
Eagles
Trent Carroll 78 games 192cm 90kg 26yrs
Fallen out of favour with Worsfold, hasn't played since rnd 13, Big body, Tazza got rubbed out for clocking him. And yes, Tazz did mean to clock him, you could tell, he tried to get to the marking contest and frustrated, let him have one on the way through.
Jeremy Humm 22 games 182cm 82kg 21yrs
Another who Worsfold doesn't like. Hard at it defender/midfielder with reasonable skills. Ex Vic. from Ballarat. All Australian at u16 and u18 level. Hasn't played since rnd 9. Played in two flags at East Perth. Could be homesick - GRAB HIM before Sheedy does. Could be a Clemo in waiting.
Richmond
Mark Chaffey 143 games 180 cm 82kg 27yrs
Good honest backman who plays his guts out even when that rabble were getting flogged. Reasonable skills.
Freo
Troy Simmonds 104 games 196cms 97kg 26yrs
Mobile Ruck/Forward comes out of contract this year. Would be very handy on the list. But would have to lure him though. They could want McGough.
There's a start anyway. Humm could be a VERY good grab. _________________ Get back on top. |

Simmonds and Chaffey would be ok. Not Humm and Carroll, two average WCE players. How about Matthew Bode or Chirs Ladhams?
bbhs, the Tigers would never trade Tivendale for O'Bree. |

Yeah, and McPhee was an average Freo player stuck in a state that he didn't want to be in. Clement was average as well. All Australian u16 & u18.. Humm come on down. _________________ Get back on top. |

I ma with you Cam - McPhee looked ordinary at Dockers - Jimmy looked average and both have blossomed with new and better clubs.
Simmonds and Humm would be good value - but if Smith and Wirrapunda could be got with draft picks and Presti/OB/MCG - I would get them.
We only need 1 or 2 (would be great) seasoned midsize defenders to hold the backline together.
Midfield is fine with Magic and Dids rotating through next year.
Forward line is great with a fully fit C2, Pebbles, Taz, Josh and small forwards (not foregtting Davo either).
Stretch will be much better in 2005 with the 2004 experience and about 5kgs on the frame - as will Josh.
Pies are sitting good and our real needs are the off field department.
Hall, Crow, Rowe and C2 to be the new stars in the making in 2005.
The entire team and team balance will be better with BJ and Lonie on the wings and if Lonie (N) was available I would get him - but not Crawford. |

That's if Crow is not delisted - would hate to see him dominating at Bummers or Carlton. |

Humm was taken when guys like Didake, Lonie, Richards, Ash McGrath and co were taken. He is way behind everyone else and it would not be the best thing to take him. Each to their own... |

He has had 22 games in 4 years. People over there don't like him. Send him home. _________________ Get back on top. |

Rumour is though that Mick and Eddie apparently had a chat to him. Unfortunately, he decided to re-sign with the Saints.
I hope someone hasn't mentioned that already. I haven't read though the whole theread. |
