Well I watched round 16 over the week-end.
Dougie boy pre-empted gloom - "I like the Hawks - arks me why ?"
Foxy, I'dd add to your warning about the second half by commenting that even the 2nd quarter was a pie wash-out.
Given the Nick Davis news it was interesting to note that he was on fire in the 1st quarter - 1st goal, gutsy mark in the middle and pin point pass to O'bree, 2nd goal under pressure, one handed mark... impressive.
Josh also had a few masterful touches. A mark going to ground was superb.
Bucks doing his block with Chick was entertaining. On a side note Chick even looks like a baby Chick don't you think. They have a food item here called "balut" pronounced Baloot, which is fertilised duck-eggs, matured to between 11 and 30 days. If one is game, they are eaten warm by the Balut vendor and have a duck chick inside, beak-n-all immersed in the "porridge" of embryonic fluid. I've also seen this "delicacy" in Vietnam. As gruesome and off-putting as the sight of a Hawthorn Chick. Same colours too.
The number of umpire-missed CFC free kicks was soul sapping.
One of the commentators (not Doogie dog) commented on Lonie being a John Gould lookalike - very true and a very good omen.
Barlow and Barker - the 2 "B"'s. Barlow played the game of his life I reckon.
Didak put in a great goal in the 4th.
You were right mate, entirely forgettable (apart from a few small gems).
It must be the off season.

Yeh, after a centring pass from Tubby Lane. Dermott said that Wazza was a terrible kick and could miss it. According to Dunstall the goal umpire was made to work hard.
