Last night when I got home from work, I discovered my son in a Carlton Jumper. Upon questioning him, he told me that one of his mates is a Carlton supporter and he thought that this was the "cool" thing to do. (He borrowed the jumper)
Question: Do I send him to counselling? Or do I just live with the fact and use him as an example to the rest of my family and disown him?

Like a disease that threatens the universe you have but one choice.....
kill him, kill him now before the infection takes hold and he begs to be put out of his misery.
You know it's the humane thing to do.

no no theres no need to overreactm the kid is still vulnerable to manipulation...we can help him.
1. kill the friend, and any similar connections of influence.
2. Disallow public contact with the outisde terrors. Ur son should be locked in a room having his brain cleansed with the faith.
3.Subliminal messages? A good source of thought.

Good luck any more difficulties let the people know

Just make him realise how much of a loser his so-called "friend" really is - take him out the back, break one of his nails and watch the girly cry... typical carlton

Well, BJ. Your son is probably beyond help by now. There comes a time when we just have to accept things and move on. I'm sure there have been plenty of other parents who've had to go through the same heartache.

You could possibly leave some Carlton Anonymous literature lying discreetly around the house in the hope that he might "accidently" find it and realise that he's got a problem. But, unfortunately we cannot help people who don't want to help themselves.

There is a 12-Step fellowship called "Carltanon" for the families of Carlton supporters. By attending weekly meetings with other people whose sons have also turned Blue, you will realise that you are not alone in this world.

And ... if it all gets too much ... say this little prayer. I promise you, it will help.

JOCK, GRANT ME THE SERENITY
TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE
COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN
AND WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

BJ,

There is still time. Just tell him that Carlton is EVIL. How well do you know the family of your son's friend? They might be trying to manipulate and brainwash your son. I do not rust them

Buy him some collingwood merchandise, and make sure you take him to most collingwood matches next year. Act now you can't let this go on!

Make a "highlight" video tape of Prez Jack Elliot. Then make the little shithead watch it for 24 hours straight.
If that don't cure him then go with plan A.........kill him, kill him quick!

Just make it plain to him that as a Carlton supporter he will be unable to accompany you on your next football outing.

Once the possibility of staying home alone with mum sinks in, he will be bleeding black and white.
