The umpiring wasn't all that bad tonight. There were one or two average decisions but in all I thought it was ok. |

They seem to be red hot on holding the ball this weekend. It's been the same in all games. These things are usually a response to critisim during the week. The funny things is i don't recall any this week |

It has been brewing up and maybe Andrew, Adrian or Jeff had a chat to the umpires to be tough on holding the ball this week. It is their theme of this week. But some decisions were plain stupid.
And Darcy needs to be reported for striking Cloke, twice. _________________ Pies Forever |

I thought they were shocking - bullies probably got the worst of it though, but they just made a lot of stupid decisions. Darcy needs to be told you can't hit someone in the head and then lead - he probably can't work it out for himself.

All I know is ... there are TOO MANY of them.
Simple solution ... if you want less umpiring mistakes, reduce the number of rules. |

Guys, u seem to forgat that darcy is not wearing a black and white jumper, therefore, he wont even be looked at. Collingwood players seem to be looked at for stupid little things , and we always go for a week or two. BUt i bet nothing is done about darcy, or the bloke who kneed burnsy in the head when he got for holding the ball, i mean thats what farmer got looked at for wasn't it, not that it would make any difference.
They are probaly just going to say that clokey took a dive, which is what most people are gonna think if they see it. So i'd stop worrying about it, nothigs gonna happen. _________________ I'm sure my heart pumps black and white! |

I watched two games yesterday and am now convinced the umpiring standards are at an all time low. Apart from the new holding the ball interpretation the inconsistency is absolutely mind-boggling. I think most players don't care if the umpires get things wrong as long as they keep making the same mistake all the time, for both teams. At the moment identical situations will get three or four different intepretations.

ive seen some bad umpiring in my time by today would have to top the list and thats saying something after going to see the pies nearly every week for 15 years, today it sunk to a new all time low and as josh fraser said after at the lexus centre they may as well have kicked it for them and that free kick against big tex for spoiling the ball in the last quarter was just downright bullshit,so mclaren in the end we won despite your efforts to get the scum over the line so stick that where the sun dont shine you dog |
