Any chance we line Begg up at FF as a lead up player in the VFL? Ash not working. Kreuger's done. Steene injured. No other tall on the list but we have a VFL ruck in Purcell. Without a tall up forward, the VFL mids have no targets to aim at.

He's been shocking today.

What didn't you like? What was the major flaw from this game / VFL games to date?
That Carlton match was broadly closer to old school football, it wasn't pretty from a skill-set perspective.

Nice adult discussion about the VFL which is better than saying people aint any good.

Now a few things that I like about Richards are:-
he knows where the goals are on either foot
He kicks drop punts at goal (because he seems to have always been a goal kicker)
doesn't go to ground
happy to give it off to teammates (but not give it away) Ned Long's first goal.
He stays on the ground to rove the packs
Does not try and milk free kicks
can mark overhead even though he is very small.
and will sit under it if he needs to!
