So pleased for Josh, it's some achievement for a bloke that was nearly lost to the game.
Also, for those doing numerology...35 years since no.35 Peter Daicos won his 2nd Copeland... _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

What a special moment..... to think the two sons of Peter would be first and second in the Copeland 35 years on. Incredible!
Huge congratulations to Josh and to all in the top ten. Pendles is just simply amazing to finish in the top five yet again.
I wasn't all that impressed with the telecast and not acknowledging the 4th and 5th finishers. Would've loved to have seen speeches from all the top five as per usual and Beau and Checkers.
Copeland voting demonstrated just how totally differently club personnel view the contributions of specific players compared to the farcical Brownlow (Nick aside of course). |

Firstly ,congratulations to Josh. All year I\he has played second fiddle to Nick and finally can take th limelight.
I am a little surprised though.
My main gripe is the whole production tonight.
It was pretty boring to say the least.
Really disappointed to not see the 4th and 5th placed players be presented. Tom Mitchell was a great stand outing deserved to be presented to the crowd. And of course Scotty who directed our way through that grand Final...
The long breaks are a waste of time. In the past years, there were plenty of relaxed interviews outside the main room .Tonight everything was so rushed,
Where was Beau to accept his award too?
Coach's speech was the best.
he said" there's a long line for tattoos.. Leave some room." _________________ 'MADE IT LEGENDARY' |

Great effort by Josh to win the Copeland in a Premiership year.
He joins an illustrious club to win the flag and Copeland in the same year.

Didn't see that coming!
Congrats, Josh. Surprised it wasn't Nick, but needless to say he'll be collecting plenty of Copelands in the years to come. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Congratulations to all the award winners tonight including the VFLs Tardrew and Hustwaite. Is it just me or did the presenter muck up Campbell Hustwaite’s name, did she call him Callum a few times? _________________ Premiership Pies made it legendary in 2023, don’t let them forget it. #Go PIES 2024…. |

I do of course realize that, but the point I was trying to make is that the club obviously considers the efforts of defenders more highly than do the umpires - still we all knew that. Out of the Collingwood voted top ten, these players did not receive a single Brownlow vote - Bruzzy and IQ. |

The name of Daicos is now as famous at Collingwood, as the name Coventry. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Wow, that says a lot, I reckon. Well done, son, and bravo all recognised.
That's a magnificent achievement in a premiership year. I've wondered a few times if Josh was doing a lot of defensive/strategic running, positioning and little things that we don't see. Is it still something like a five-coach vote? Consider also Bruzzy, Tommy Mitchell and Checkers doing so well when at times they all faced significant criticism.
Of course, we love them all, but I like that there's more going on in the thinking here, in contrast to say the Brownlow. Knowing Fly the concept is very holistic and they're watching things we're not privy to. The vote also by definition likely rewards a consistency which can't always be seen in a classic 3-2-1.
If you watch the interview that Fly did with Maher and Gaze, you could see they were both stoked and in awe at some of the things he let them in on. You can bet Joshy has ticked off far more than we know.
That's just another story to in a storied year. What a club. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Peter talked about how Josh has developed his leadership skills this year and it shows with Josh taking out the Copeland. Well done by all. |
