Post subject: Aaron Davey to Collingwood??? | |
|
According to the age Davey is out of contract at the end of the year. I think Eddie and Mick should have a chat to the kid and tell him to go into the pre season draft, where if things are going like they have been, we’ll get first pick. I’d love to see this bloke paly in our forward line, once it hits the deck having him and Leon together pushing each other to the next level .
He is on the minimum wage an AFL player can get, I’m sure Ed will see that that changes .

Where do people come up with these ideas from ???
Melbourne won't let him go and even if they do, the kid has played 7 games tops, how can you justify going after him ? _________________ Daicos....in 200 years time they'll still be wondering how he did it! |

Melbourne gave him a crack at afl football were all other teams wouldn't.
If he was to leave them after one season I would lose all respect for him. He aint going anywhere, very happy at the Dees by the look of it. |

Firstly, Melbourne couldn't afford to have him on the senior list until a sponsor came on board and coughed up the $15,000 needed to sign him to a senior list contract for this year.
He may very well be available next year, but only if Melbourne release him. Surely, they will release other players before Aaron and would therefore be able to afford to retain him on a multi-year deal.
Davey to Collingwood, next season - won't happen. _________________ Whale

Dale61, Melbourne doesn’t have to release him, since he is out of contract at the end of the year, and therefore they have no hold on him. He is free to go into the preseason draft, like Nick Stevens and Jade Rawlings.
Meatpie or meathead , the proof is there for all to see, you want justification, try 5 goals at the weekend. We haven’t had one player kick 5 goals in a game this year, in fact I can’t remember the last time we had someone kick 5 in a game. He has kicked 16 goals this year, that’s one less than Anthony Rocca, oh, did I mention it was his first year in the AFL . Another little stat I like is that he has kicked a goal in every game he has played. I hope that’s enough justification for you, if not, I’ll gladly give you more . |

He has a brother you know, Alwin aka froggy, my son used to play with both of them for the Palmerston Magpies up in Darwin, I always though Alwin the better of the two, but thats just my judgement and I'm no expert, maybe the Club should have a look at him. _________________ Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, Glory..... lasts forever! |

Mad, are they sons of Alwyn or Gunny?
I remember the elder Daveys playing for what was then North Darwin, who are now Palmerston Magpies. _________________ Whale
