O.K. boys and girls, it's the time of the year we all hate.
TRADING!

Be prepared to see some old favorites pack their bags.

God I hate this shit.

Bring it on Craig.

I love it.

And by the way Dan, what are you doing at the Cliffton in Kew. Don't say you go for the topless barmaids.

I agree with you Craig. I shamelessly admit that I get attached to the group of guys that play their hearts out for the B&W and I hate seeing any of them having to leave.

At the same time it can be exciting seeing the new players we gain and how they are incorporated into the team for the coming season.

BUT I do let my heart rule my head at times so I have to say that trading time isn't my favourite part of the football year!

GO PIES!

Marg

I think there two Clifton Hill pubs. One is famous for being topless, the other famous for being a gig venue. I assume Richo was at the gig venue (else the girls coming up to him would have had glass jugs as well as their own jugs).

It is a painful time because someone always goes who you think should be kept and others who you have sentimental attachments to are sold off like cattle.

At the same time it is vital to trade fringe players or players who's type you have an excess of for positional players you have a deficiency in. If you don't you slide down the ladder. Nothing is more certain.

Ah Rohan, of course you love this time of year.
I agonised over this response for the past 24 hours as deep down I know that you have a B&W heart but it does need to be said.

You love the trading period (and delistings) as it gives you opportunity to push your barrow. You know what I mean....."this guys a hack, that guy I said was shit now they delist him so how right was I? The recruiters don't deserve their wages. Prez Ed needs to be sacked."

All the same old shite.

How any follower can enjoy seeing servants of the club treated like "meat" or have their dreams shattered is beyond me.

As I said...i hate this time of year. (but I accept it's a necessary evil)
