Well that article gives no indication either way. I find it interesting that Police apparently said Quote: | The force called for anyone with information to contact them and asked people not to post details of those they believe are involved or share footage on social media as it could hamper the investigation. |
Posting footage on social media, get that, although you'd expect the "investigation" to be fairly short along with the handing out of any penalties, but why not name people? |
Because it's Tommy Robinson and the powers that be can't stand him |

So, maybe on this occasion Tommy hasn’t done something despicable for which he is to be arrested and jailed. |

He's been done for stalking, now:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10089253/Tommy-Robinson-handed-five-year-stalking-ban.html
Quote: | Tommy Robinson has been handed a five-year stalking ban after he turned up at a journalist's home, falsely branded her partner a paedophile and threatened to return to the address.
The English Defence League founder went to the property of the Independent's home affairs correspondent Lizzie Dearden and her boyfriend, Samuel Partridge, over a story alleging that he misused money donated by his supporters.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, shouted abuse at Ms Dearden and falsely branded Mr Partridge a paedophile as he stood outside the journalist's property in January this year, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard.
....
The court previously heard how Robinson had hired a private investigator to find information out about Ms Dearden following a request for comment she made, through his solicitors, on a story alleging that he misused money donated by his supporters.
.... after learning Ms Dearden's address, Robinson had arrived around 10pm, calling for her to come to the door and shouting claims that Mr Partridge was a paedophile.
The magistrate 'wholly rejected' that Robinson had attended the address to 'exercise his right to reply' to the article, saying that he had been there to intimidate her and adding there was 'not a shred of evidence' that the claims about Mr Partridge were true. |
Another terrible imposition on his "freedom of speech", no doubt.
His "rap sheet" now includes the contempt of court that resulted in the jailing the subject of this thread, a 2005 assault, a 2011 "using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour", a 2013 guilty plea arising from his entering the US on a false passport and a 2014 sentence 18 months' imprisonment for conspiracy to commit fraud by misrepresentation in relation to a mortgage application. |

It is a pity the people defending him don't do the same for Julian Assange. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

^ There is some crossover in support (for better or worse), but yes, sadly some people think exposing government corruption and war crimes is of lesser urgency than catching migrants behaving badly on camera. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
