Agreed, King was great, Mullins is a little slow but displayed some nice skills. They deserve another week at least. |

With our bit part highlight package of the game for s.a. viewers he looked ok seemed to get a lot of possesions in space. He looked slow(running pace) and i thought there was a few times he could of chased and tackled a bit harder |

Looks a likely type.
He has exceptional skills, however he really needs to bulk up to stand the rigours of AFL football. _________________ Con Nose Evrythin, you see

Thought both did reasonably well. King looks pretty good to me as he looks like he has a bit of grunt about his play. Mullins looks as if he has pretty good skills but will take some time to learn that this is not Williamstown but AFL footy. Overall though, quite encouraging from both. |

Can find the football but if you ask me he is not the type of player we need.
He has no pace whatsoever and lacks a defensive side to his game. I don't think his possesions will hurt the opposition in the future enough to justify a midfield spot for him.
I'd persist with him for the next few weeks at least but I don't htink he'll ever be much more than a decent fringe player.
King might be a very handy HB. Needs to get fitter/a bit faster and loose that puppy fat he still has. Skills are a bit questionable. |

Mullins was not "chasing" as hard as you'd like because he was stuffed! His first game at AFL football I think we can cut him some slack for being rooted!
I thought he showed great poise and a real football brain, especially when he ran down the wing, and instead of giving a quick dish out right, he waited for the opponent to get past him, he ran around him and delivered nicely into F50 (other more seasoned campaigners on our list would have dished off without even thinking, resulting in a turnover as the player to give it to would have been run down immediately). It's little things like this that stand out. |

d9 tank, I get the impression there are a lot of guys on this forum that have no idea about footy. What do you think my friend?
These guys are young, first game players. What do you expect from them? _________________ Con Nose Evrythin, you see

considering both blokes were on debut, i was very happy with what i saw... King, on one occassion, delivered to mullins and ran all of 100 metres asking for it back... he didnt get it, but regardless, its the type of hunger we need. _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |

Burnsy17, good to see someone was watching the game
Considering the amount of game time King had , i thought he was excellent and used the ball quiet well.
Wouldn't be surprised if Zane Leonard has a run soon. The kid has great speed, gets his head over the ball and is really hard at it. This boy can play. _________________ Con Nose Evrythin, you see

Zane has had a hamstring injury and is still apparently 2 weeks away, but hopefully he will get a game sometime this year.
I thought King and Mullins were great on the weekend but I think they deserve some more game time.
Should Brayden and Heath Shaw be looked at this year?

Mullins as well as King should play alot of years at Collingwood and both have what it takes they just need to get their feet wet so that they can take the dive and step up properly. Mullins came out of his first game with some positives...Hope he can rip essendon up this sunday! lol _________________ Tradition? Pfft you call merging with Fitzroy and cheatin to 3 flags Tradition? I though Mullins was good and our best midfielder in the 1st half. Looks very classy. King looked a goer and a guy who can tag well. |

King did a few good things, but didn't have much impact. As I recall, Mullins made a shocking error with his first touch, but did very well for the rest of the game. Isn't Zane Leonard on the rookie list?? _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
