I might be reading too much into it, but I detected a subtle dig by players and coach last night at the quarantine the WA government put the club in, that it hampered their preparation and it’s almost like WA did it deliberately to set us back. Anyone else get this? If we had got a serious injury last night, we could have pointed at the quarantine and that it hampered our preparation. Who’s dirty, WA? |

The AFL should have said no to a final in Perth with the onerous conditions demanded by the WA government.
We won which is great, and we did not complain but the limits on squad size and coaches being in campervans were not fair. Makes the win all the sweeter. |

That seems a bit ridiculous they pick a resort without enough rooms for a club! |

The AFL caved in to the WCE/Simpson whinging early in the year - we, the club, did not whinge at all throughout the entire season, despite being handed one of the worst hands possible (only Hawthorn fared worse)... _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

The current premier is a political animal, and a QLDer I believe which is not widely known in WA. Very funny.
Lesson they will never learn but we already know is ...

The fact WA tried to sabotage us just makes the win so much sweeter! |

There's a lesson in it for them. Always respect your opponent and treat then with dignity.
No doubt they tried to sabotage us, but that helped lift the club instead. I tipped Collingwood by 16 points because I knew it'd motivate them. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Our fixture request next year should say "No games in WA then cite what happened.
My brother is stuck over there because he can't fly to Borneo. The conditions they put on him for the hotel were so bad when he first arrived that his son organised an air bnb one room place and his daughter in law delivered meals. AFL should have forced WCE to come to QLD. But it was all about the revenue when the WA government bent the rules to allow the game after just a 7 day quarantine period.
For me this is the best of our interstate finals wins even better than the 2002 QF because they couldn’t have made it any harder for us and after all that and being behind early in the last with the stadium roaring we could have packed it in for an honourable loss. But we found a way to kick 3 goals when it’s been a weakness all year. Stuff of legends and we should be all proud no matter what happens in the coming weeks. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |
