To be fair, P4S just quoted the article, I wouldn't call him sick for it.

Brenton Tarrant sentenced to life without parole. He's now the Kiwi version of Charles Manson.
I haven't watched the trial, just seen snippets on news. Some of those showed victims or relatives of victims basically bagging him out which I thought was useless bravado, but generally I can't argue with the sentence in principle.
In principle, that's it. Game over, he stays locked up til he dies.
In practice however, he's going to be a splinter in the foot for a long time to come _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

The important thing (perhaps the only important thing) that comes from the sentence is that it reflects that he was mentally-fit to stand trial. He wasn't "unhinged", just another wicked Nazi. |

I must have missed where there was suggestion he wasn't fit to stand trial.
Everything I'd read about him suggests his actions were deliberate and he was totally sane in the sense that he was responsible for his actions. No cop out.
Prediction: He's going to sit back in gaol, make himself a PITA (Pain In The Arse) when it suits and attract notoriety and "fame/celebrity" while sucking up money and resources to keep him safe and imprisoned. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

yup,
at least he kept his trap shut, he stood and listened, and went quietly, saving his victims more pain, hopefully he fades from memory, never heard from again _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I’m as much into prison abolition/reform as anyone, but some people need to be out of the community permanently (or close to). This guy is one of them. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
