Fantastic win for the Aussie Woman - particularly bearing in mind the dramatic semi win. _________________ Donny.

Yes, another 10 minutes of rain and they wouldn’t have been there. |

Aussies are world champs
Next t20 world cup in the girls is 2022 hosts this time is South Africa.
I think 2012 next year its world cup in odi's for the girls hosts for this one is New Zealand.
Mens t20 world cup is later in the year November hosts are Australia final to be played at the MCG.
Well done to the girls last night flawless display. Awesome opening partnership from Healy and Mooney and excellent in the field and ball and out and out class and probably go down as the best cricket match for the Aussies. |

I noticed when the aussies were bowling they didn't turn it much at all just a case of bowling in the right spot. They were generally bowling back of a length and just outside off stump and having the wicket keeper up at the stumps helped too. To me the out field slowed up a little or the indian batters did not hit the ball all that hard.
No sixers were hit by india and only 5 fours hit and they just made to the rope also.
Aussies when batting hit the ball heaps harder and cleared the rope heaps of times and the 4's were hit hard too.
Indias fielders bowlers could not do any thing really just solid hitting. |

There was one ball by the SLA Indian spinner early to Healy that spun quite sharply, missing the outside edge and narrowly missing off stump.
It was an excellent ball. |

Great, worthy mention also to racheal Haynes and Nicola carey they were the ones that held it up in the middle order and stood up too when it came to the batting. If we were say 4 or 5 down these 2 held it together to develop that much needed partnership.
Carey is a very under rated medium pace bowler too can take the needed wickets and can reverse swing too very handy.
Kimmance did well to cover for perry and molienux too.
Perry goes in for surgery today for that hammy then its rehab for 5-6 months. Tayna vaenimk rehab is a couple of months too.Should be right. |

Still would have liked Lanning to bowl that last over in the final I think she has bowled before they are left arm slow arm balls with top spin on. The game was well and truelly won so why not give the captain a bowl. Lanning didn't mix up the bowling at all in the final and just stuck with the 4 front line bowlers I think.
Schutt,Kimmance, Carey for pace and Molineux and Johannsen for the spin |
