$200B sacrificed to the climate god for no result or a credible and necessary military deterrent? Yeah, I'll take the Subs thanks. |

I don't have it in my DVD collection, but I did watch it years ago – it's an excellent film. So tense and claustrophobic.
Didn't know about the book, Wokko! Will have to keep an eye out for it. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

That joke could've been delivered by Milo, the feud between him and Shapiro was legendary. |

Well, I’ve been looking for some extra work. I wonder if Breitbart has a vacancy for a degenerate socialist? _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

After a few weeks of social distancing and lockdown, reports of the canals of Venice being clear (last august some looked like the Yarra on a bad day) and of being able to see the Himalayan's for the first time. Ive spent many an early morning or evening trying to get the perfect shot to make a splash back out of, looking from Half moon Bay to the city skyline, but either the colour or the clarity are not there. Saturday night we walked along the beach, i had my camera and a portrait lens (low F stop capability, means good in low light, thats why i chose it) and driving back to the house we could see the visibility was incredible. We pulled into the carpark and i hopped out and took less than 10 shots. i would have killed to take some long exposures! Its 43klm across the bay, and these were taken at 42mm, which is nothing!! If id had the 600mm on my i could have got a shot of someone picking their nose in the city!! In the cropped pick you can see the Westgate bridge on the left, and the Melbourne Eye in the middle. The full sized pic is 5472 x 3648 pixels, this is 800 x 533 pixels! basically that means i could print this almost wall size without any blur!
Aside from the technical stuff, just imagine this view after 6 months of no pollution!!
Full size image, no crop, raw photo adjusted in lightroom,no photoshopping. Im printing this BIG!!
im going to get a splashback made about 1.6-2metres long from this crop, maybe cropped a little more.
the Westgate on the right, the Melbourne Eye to the right of the middle.

thanks mate, im pretty stoked with them!!! cheers
if anyone wants the specs it was shot at 42mm on a 24mm-105mm sigma Art F4 portrait lens, set to 42mm, iso320 (light sensitivity), F11 1/320 sec. I did shoot some at 105mm, but i like this one the best! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |
