Where’s Jake, is this one being played at a licensed venue and he isn’t allowed inside because he isn’t 18? |

Good question.
Youngsters Jake Fraser-McGurk, who will play in the national Under-19 championships, and Eamonn Vines are the players to drop out from the Victorian squad that lost to Queensland in Melbourne. _________________ Donny.

New Kookaburra ball to be used in Shield games
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/new-kookaburra-ball-to-be-used-in-shield-games-20191126-p53eeu.html
"Cricket Australia is introducing a new ball for the next two rounds of the Sheffield Shield, which could potentially be used for Test matches in this country.
...
The Kookaburra is used in seven countries, including Australia and New Zealand while England uses the Dukes and India the SG.
The refined red Turf ball, which CA say has been tested extensively in the lab, at training sessions and in games, has an updated lining of leather aimed at better preserving the resilience of the seam so that it stays prouder, thus offering lateral movement off the pitch for longer periods." |

Khawaja failed again, and media were speculating about whether he'll ever get another chance at international level. They hinted he's been behaving a bit strangely, e.g. at the one-day coin toss. |

"... Peter Siddle has given the thumbs up to the reinvigorated MCG pitch after a day where the ball again prevailed over the bat in the Sheffield Shield.
Four weeks out from the Boxing Day Test, there are signs Australian cricket fans will be given a more entertaining spectacle...
Curator Matt Page has now produced two surfaces bearing little semblance to the wickets of recent years, which have led to dour and, to be frank, boring cricket.
The five days of Shield cricket on the re-cast MCG pitch has now yielded 1142 runs at a cost of 25.4 per wicket.
On a deck that Siddle said was sporting more even grass coverage than last year, there was bounce, carry and movement off the seam for the fast men.
...
Two factors here, though, should be considered. NSW's top six is extremely green with three players in their second, third and fourth first-class games, and the Kookaburra ball being used here is different to that which will be used in the Test.
This new red Turf ball has a prouder seam and an extra coat of lacquer with the aim of offering more lateral movement in the air and off the pitch. Siddle, however, downplayed the significance of the ball."
