Good news. I was worried about WADA getting vindictive (although it may be academic for him now). _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

"Melbourne, Richmond, Greater Western Sydney and North Melbourne are among the teams to register their interest in Murray, with the Demons considered as keen as any of them."

Doping bans for 'street drugs' likely to be cut, too late for Murray
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/doping-bans-for-street-drugs-likely-to-be-cut-too-late-for-murray-20191030-p535np.html
"Athletes ... who test positive to cocaine on match day will no longer be banned for years and could serve as little as one month if changes to the World Anti-Doping Agency code are approved next week.
...
Murray did not technically have cocaine in his system when he tested positive. He was found to have metabolites of cocaine in his system, as opposed to the parent drug, from having taken the illicit drug a week earlier.
...
Sources familiar with Murray's case say he took cocaine a week earlier – while on a night out after the game played the previous week – and the traces of the drug remained on clothing or another item that he later came in contact with again on or close to match day." |

No takers in any of the drafts.
Pre supplement and mid season drafts his only hope now.
Doing a few lines seems to have ended his career. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

He's off to Adelaide apparently, or is that Crocker?
Edit: H-S has a photo of Sam Murray with the title "Crows swoop on Pie". Idiots. |

Good news in general – it's about time these antiquated rules were overhauled – but that latter part of the quote really puts into light just how much of an injustice this was. Ridiculously draconian that he should have had his career ended over this. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Jesus, that's bloody bad luck for Murray. Idiot for taking coke in the first place, but considering other players have done worse and are still playing. |

The selection of Ben Crocker by the Crows just shows how dumb certain list management groups can be. Good luck though Ben _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Yeah, sure Sam. Next thing you'll be telling your girlfriend that you picked up the pox from a toilet seat.
He knew the rules; he broke the rules; he got caught. There's no injustice in that. |

Except of course that the rule is totally stupid. The AFL is lumped with irrelevant rules that are apt to Olympic events and not to the AFL. |

Had he not been banned in the last season and a half, I wonder if he'd still be on the list?
Had that happened though, we may not have gone for Noble. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
