Guys. I think the idea is to vote for the Magpie again. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

I think that was the plan.
I like Magpies as a bird, smart birds. No fan of bin chickens, if it's not the Magpie it should be the Rainbow lorikeet _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

The bin chicken is good if the definition of good is "it's so bad it's good"; more your utility player, adaptable but not going to win you a match.
However the sulphur-crested cockie is well you know makes themselves heard on the field, is ominpresent and will win you a match by their swarming. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

You want swarming go the long billed Corella. A few of those can take out a squadron of Cockatoos. Not to mention that a flock of them can eat a house _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Sounds like Leroy Brown, definitely won us a few matches. Nothing like an adaptable utility to straighten things up when they're not quite right. Can play anywhere the bin chicken, even well out of position in the middle of a major city, |

Nice work, despite the horror of them marking the trees. It's beyond comprehension, just a national outrage. A gazillion hectares of land under use, and a handful of vital trees can't be quarantined. It's a psychopathy of sorts, just beyond comprehension. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

it really is. The council did a secret land swap 2 months after we bought our block, we didnt find out until the frame and bricks were up, on the house i designed overlooking the wild parkland. so now i will have a lovely view of them building across the street! hopefully they build single storey houses and i can still see the bay! From talking to people in the area, there was no warning, no way to object when you dont know. basically they swapped parcels of land. i thought half our view was safe, as its where the oldest tress are, and leads to the duck pond about 100 metres away, which is also surrounded by the most gorgeous old river gums. but they are going to within about 50-70 metres of the pond. so not sure how many birds will stay. its really dumb, there is a swampy area i doubt they can build on, about 2 house blocks away from the kerb. its the run off from the 2 ponds, i walked into it by accident one night, it was almost dark, i was in waist deep grass and reeds after following large birds, i actually thought they were bats in the tree, bloody huge! i just snapped off the pics, it wasnt till they all flew away i realised they were birds, and it wasnt until i downloaded them, and my sister said they are rare yellow tailed black cockatoos that i realised!
All taken across the road:
i had my 105mm macro on unfortunately when i saw the Cockatoos
there were 33 of them!
shot at 560mm
shot at about 1/3200!
taken from the balcony...
i thought there was a spot on my sensor, and zoomed in to clean it, original pic
can you see the insect its chasing?
and he caught it! shot the first day i tried out my 100-400mm L lens!
