Wonder if they'll have a player clean out?
Will Daisy hold his spot? I reckon they'll can him.
I'm pretty sure they'll be holding on to Charlie Curnow , Cripps and McKay. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

"His proper calling at the highest level of the game may, though, be as a senior assistant coach anyway, and he is a certainty to assume such a role next year.
He has a very close relationship with Brisbane coach Chris Fagan, and it would not surprise to see him at the Lions from 2020." |

"Despite the various statements of support for Bolton this year and embarrassing protestations that the club was backing him, the Blues have made the correct call; it is hard to imagine many of their rivals hanging on to a coach with that record for as long as they did.
If anything, the Blues had postponed the sacking, clinging to the increasingly dim hope of a turnaround. No one said it, but the suspicion is that they stuck with Bolton for as long as they and their supporter base could bear because they didn't want to reinforce the damaging cliche that Carlton executes coaches like no other club.
...
Whatever Carlton does next, the next coach will inherit a playing list that is far better than 1-10 and will have a far better prospect of success than did Bolton, who was tantamount to an appointed administrator taking over a broken enterprise.
But Carlton has broken him."

I would encourage Carlton to appoint Mick Malthouse as head coach and Robert Walls as senior assistant coach
They then can trade out Cripps and a couple others and get in another Daisy or McGovern
Should ensure Carlton are dead and buried forever inside 5 years |

"Although club officials are remaining tight-lipped, The Age understands the panel will consist of chief executive Cain Liddle, football boss Brad Lloyd, football director and club legend Chris Judd and board member David Campbell.
Campbell is a partner at Egon Zehnder International, one of the world’s leading advisory and recruitment firms and a lifelong Carlton fan." |

Bolton joins Hawthorn. Fancy-sounding title, but what he'll do they don't say. |

Imagine getting sacked from Carlton - of all places - and made Director of Football at Hawthorn. He must be pi$$ing himself laughing. That's a bit like being delisted by Gold Coast and made captain of Collingwood. |

Maybe Bolts will dispel the "it's not you its me" myth by proving that

Carlton board challengers unhappy at Silvagni treatment
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/carlton-board-challengers-unhappy-at-silvagni-treatment-20200129-p53vyb.html
"Both of the challengers – Softball Australia chairman and businessman John Hollingsworth and grassroots member Steve Khatib – are critical of the club's handling of the exit of favourite son and list manager Stephen Silvagni...
The board challenge emerged on a day when the Blues announced that Silvagni would be replaced as list manager by Nick Austin, the Bulldogs' national recruiting manager who is also the son of a former Carlton great Rod "Curly" Austin.
...
Carlton has three of their board facing the members – football director and ex-captain Chris Judd, recruitment executive David Campbell and QC Chris Townsend – in an election that is in defiance of the club's nominations committee, which informed both Hollingsworth and Khatib that they did not want them to stand against the incumbents.
...
Carlton has followed other clubs such as Richmond and Collingwood in having a nominations committee, which the clubs say is designed to ensure that they have the right skill set, avoiding the situation where an accountant or lawyer, for instance, is running for the board when someone of that ilk is already present." |

All Silvagni did was pinch the intellectual property of the Giants. As undeserving pay cheque like his Team of the Century spot. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |
