Wow. This doesn't sound promising:

Could work either way I guess, ie if a hoodoo plays on players' minds during the game.
But they have broken a lot of hoodoos this year so have effectively broken the hoodoo hoodoo so to speak, so hopefully this (no minor pship since 1913 and no win at the G since 2014) will be a strong motivator.
Especially it would be good for them to get a win on the G now and break that particular hoodoo before finals. Apart from this I was wondering where their motivation woudl come from, it's close to a dead rubber for them, just a choice between 1st and 2nd most likely. |

I saw that earlier today.
They are screwed if Bellchambers cant get up and Clarke is out. They have no FF, no CHF, Hooker and Hurley are both playing hurt. Heppell is playing hurt. Zaharakis is now out. Their midfield are all watching from the stands. They've actually had a worse run with injuries than we have.
How they beat Freo over there, I dont know? Before that, they lost by 109 to Dogs, 59 to Port, scrapped home Vs Suns, were lucky against Adelaide, were extremely lucky against North...
We need to take care of them. They'll lift for this game, but we need to stamp them out early and they will fall away.
I cant imagine how we'll all feel if we lost this match. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Geez thats bad news, but he'll only miss one week.
So we have one forced change.
Steele Sidebottom - Nut (1 week)
Tyler Brown may get a debut. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Nutted at the clearances?
My god, this is bad news. Hope you are right that it is only a one weeker. On the AFL website, we are saying that the duration of recovery won't be known until after surgery.
Agree that we need another mid to come in and can't simply replace Sidey with Moore.
Replacing him with Wells is too risky for both Wells and us.
Tyler Brown looks like the logical replacement _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Replacements for Sidey?
Tyler Brown could debut. I'd like to see it, however, I think Daics could be a chance to break back in.
I'd roll the dice. Bring in Wells or The Sack! |

Haven't you been paying attention? The Sack is out with a rupture!

No. The Sack is the man. We need experience. Not blooding a rookie on the eve of the finals. The finals is a completely new season and it requires hard bodies with experience. Roll the dice on Goldsack. |

Actually don't agree with this. If we haven't been playing Goldie all year, it is for a reason. We need to blood young Tyler to see what he can do, because:
a) he is the future
b) we might need him in the finals, so better 1 game before than 0 games before.
T. Brown in for me to replace Sidey.
Depending on match ups against Essendope, either Magden stays, Noble out and Moore in, or Magden out and Moore in.
Both Noble and Magden need games (in case we need to call on them in the finals)... so we just choose of the two which will be a better option in regards to Essendope's forward line.
We MUST win this game. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Exactly. That's why we can't punt on a rookie. |

Lots of valid opinions now that Sidey is out.
Wells.
Goldsack.
Daicos.
T. Brown.
It's also possible that Madgen stays in and Moore comes in for Sidebottom.
We do have to win this game. And win well. I think all of those guys will deserve to play, but there's only room for one if we omit Madgen too. Wells or Goldsack playing would be a team lifter. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
