I suspect you can only really comment on the last 20 or so years _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Fair point. I have may have got carried away but statistically he stacks up with the very best. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Don’t want to single anyone out negatively but I think Madgen really struggled. There was a contest in particular near the boundary late in the third where he just looked all at sea. Maybe just needs to get used to the pace of AFL level, but if we don’t get Moore or Langdon back soon then I think we may need to look elsewhere. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Very true WPT!!
Just watched his interview over on the CFC website - he still looks like such a baby. Let's hope that these wonderful last quarter "win the game" efforts are the beginnings of a great career with the Pies.
Was so glad to hear that Trav flew up to Sydney with the boys to watch the game. A win in those stunning indigenous jumpers would've meant such a lot to him. |

Goldsack is the obvious one you would look at.I don’t know why he wasn’t selected tonight. |

Moore, Langdon, Murphy and Scharenberg are all way ahead of him but none of them were available. I suppose the Club might have played Goldie, instead. He would have been better with the ball on the deck and would have made us that little bit harder at the contest. |

What a cow paddock, how long was the grass? No AFL ground has grass that long. Aish kept us in touch in the first half, one of his best games for the club. Mayne was inspirational. Grundy, should have got the medal, and if it wasn't in Sydney, he would have. 64 hit outs, 18 disposals and 8 tackles...
Greenwood is really taking the game on from half back, its like him and Maynard are clones of each other.
Roughead another good game, Stevo. I agree, Checkers nearly single handledly kicked us out of it.
Tick, and move on.
Buddy sooks after every possession. He's an embarrassment. _________________ Get back on top.

We're showing all the signs of having a very good team.
Winning ugly but chalking up the wins, like us last year
Doing not much until a final quarter burst to win it, like the Tigers last year
Terrible accuracy but still winning due to dominating open play, like us in '11
Of course, we know how all three of those teams went in the end... |

Did I miss something? That's the second reference to Checkers kicking us out of the game tonight. I know he missed what, a couple of set shots (not the only one), but he put through a sneaky, opportunistic one too. Is this what the posts are referring to - the missed set shots? |
