Makes my blood boil hearing Varcoe gets suspended for a bump. Especially after the reports on those players last week get nothing.
The bump is dead in AFL and elbows/forearms given green light. |

Pretty sure he actually missed the Saint’s head and hit our player. Appeal. _________________ Est. 2002 |

"Sydney midfielder Luke Parker also escaped with a fine following an elbow to the head of ... Jack Ziebell..."
And a lot of players, including Tom Lynch & Patrick Cripps, getting just fines for punches. |

Obviously hasn't won a Brownlow and didn't use his elbow. Disgraceful _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

I’m surprised about this. You usually have to practically kill someone to get suspended these days.I hope we appeal this on the grounds that it wasn’t medium impact but low impact. That should get him off. |

Philips was left bleeding from the mouth. It was a very reckless and dangerous bump imo. A one week suspension is about right imo.
If it was a Collingwood player taken out like that, we'd be clamouring for a 2-4 week suspension. |

I agree, Rudeboy. Love Varcoe and hate that he’ll miss the Indigenous round game, but if he didn’t get Phillips’ head then what the hell happened to him? The angles we saw on replay didn’t clearly show contact, but they didn’t clearly not show contact, and one doesn’t have to be a genius to work out how the St Kilda player ended up dazed on the ground. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
