Tough game lads but I reckon we have their measure.
It's not gonna be easy, we just gotta kick accurately. _________________ WE WERE ROBBED, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEE!

Be interesting to see if either sides tries to shut the other down or whether we both go for a quick movement game and see who finishes on top _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

Went down to the local RSL for the morning service. Had to restrain myself from yelling "Go Pies" at the end of the national anthem. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Bombers will definitely be looking for quick movement, it's their only chance. Last ANZAC they were timid and backward kicked constantly, can't see that happening today.
We have more than one mode of attack and will probably mix it up throughout the game. The most important thing will be field positioning when we don't have the ball, the last thing you want is to give the Bomber space. _________________ Well done boys! |

I'm confident we can win, but i somehow keep thinking they are probably due to beat us again too, just the same.
I expect a pretty tough game, either way. _________________ Social club member 7342 since 2000. |

That’s a fair point about accuracy. We will get enough shots on goal but we can’t keep kicking more behinds than goals and expect to win every week.
Let alone the fact that a behind means you are handing the ball back to them under the new rules. It’s never been easier to clear the defensive zone with the extra space the kicker is afforded. |

Interesting match today.
Bombers will be relying on their pace and quick transition to beat us. I could be wrong, but I think we're going to aim to slow the game down today to stifle Essendon's fast running game and be patient with ball in hand.
Disappointing we've lost Elliott, and while Hoskin-Elliott is a strong forward target I worry about whether he's ready considering the lack of match fitness. It's a risky move by the match committee, but one that could pay off.
Think this is a genuine 50/50 contest so it would not surprise me if we lost, but hoping the boys will lift again on ANZAC Day as they always do. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Maynard breathing a sigh of relief that Fantasia is a late withdrawal. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023
