COLLINGWOOD
Nathan Murphy - Calf (1-2 weeks)
Ben Reid - Quad (1-2 weeks)
Lynden Dunn - Knee (2 weeks)
Taylor Adams - Finger (2 Weeks)
Daniel Wells - Foot (3 weeks)
Will Hoskin-Elliott - Knee (3 weeks) (Gone up from last week)
Matt Scharenberg - Knee (9 weeks) (Timeline set at 9 after being "indefinite" for some time)
Tim Broomhead is no longer listed, so he might be back to full training?
Quote: | Hoskin-Elliott, Adams and Murphy will be sidelined for the opening rounds, while Dunn is back in full training and Wells should join him soon. Murphy and Reid are running while a longer-term view will be taken with Scharenberg as he returns from a third knee reconstruction. - Ben Collins |

The AFL record that nobody wants
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/the-afl-record-that-nobody-wants-20190327-p517zu.html
"Three anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears equals the most in a single round in the 28 years that these injuries have been formally recorded. Interestingly, both previous episodes were in the same season – rounds one and five of the 1997 season.
...
All three round one victims are key defenders, however historically there is no pattern of occurrence with ACL injuries - they can strike any position, any sized player. But the high incidence early in the season has been a consistent pattern. The jump in intensity between the JLT games and round one of the season proper is huge, and will only get worse if the AFL reduces the number of pre-season games.
...
All the AFL men's clubs incorporate some prevention exercises into their fitness regimes, aimed at improving landing techniques and strengthening the muscles around the hip and knee. Unfortunately because of the uncontrolled nature of AFL, players can be unbalanced when they land or tackle as well as the possibility of an opponent falling across their knee.
... The AFL has a very high (greater than 80 per cent) rate of return to play after ACL reconstruction, but also unfortunately a significant risk of recurrence both in the surgically repaired knee and in their "good" knee. A La Trobe University study, published last year, reported a recurrence rate of 30 per cent with the incidence being particularly high in young players." |

Both experienced back men with different strengths but the acquisition of Jordan Roughead will benefit us
Am so sorry for Dunne as he was more than a footballer he was a leader
Hope it’s not too bad big fella _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Hope that it’s not ACL re injure
Last yr they erred on side of caution with the Darc and Jamie—there was thought they may have cracked GF side
Did the injury to Dunne not been afforded caution as well _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Maybe 1/3 season:
"Richmond are bracing for bad news in relation to ... Riewoldt, fearing that he has broken the scaphoid bone in his wrist...
He was set to have scans on the injury, however it’s understood Richmond suspected a scaphoid injury which could leave Riewoldt sidelined for about two months."

I've no idea why they left him on the ground. Fools. |
