Yep, if Wells is sacrificing he means business, which also means he is convinced we will win the flag this season and he wants to finally taste success before he retires. All signs point to a Magpies season of dominance, I can feel a premiership this season, it feels right, it feels good. The machine is oiling up. _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Maybe he had a clause to do with other injuries not previously suffered or he was on the cusp of that trigger
He may be also getting some work aft football we are going to assist him with and in turn he's done the club a favour now
Any way you look at it its a good thing |
That's what North offered him, we 'trumped' them by offering 3 years guaranteed. _________________ Get back on top. |

Just watched the first half of the Pies v Crows draw in 2017.
Wow... how much we have missed Wells, Elliott and Moore... oh... and Reid. _________________ When it's all said and done, and the Premierships won. It's Collingwood forerver more. |

This is hypothetical but a fully fit from R1 to R 22 do you play Daniel week in and week out or be careful and sit him out on occasions _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

The latter. No point putting games into a player clearly in his last year, so play him when and if needed. He's as good a back up as a rookie listed player. |

You might find that some of Wells's original contract with us was front loaded too.
Glad for the gesture though at the very least. Here's hoping that he can make a real, positive impact on our tilt this year.
Imagining fit versions of Wells, Beams, Elliott and Moore for the year... That's some pretty good base talent right there, let alone cream on an already decent squad. |

Very likely it will be his final year, but the sacrifice he's made is commendable. Hope he gets himself fit, because at his best he's an impressive player.
I suspect he will be a depth player at best, but a guy of his talent could be a handy weapon this year in the event that other players are missing due to injuries/suspensions. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
