Good stuff. Interesting how adaptable the body is, how it chooses the fuel source to burn based on diet and can switch.
The principle is similar to the paelo diet and similar to the traditional diet of desert Aboriginals.

Is there anything you really miss eating? If you go out and have the steak and salad, can you eat some of the chips? _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

When I go out for steak I substitute the chips for green veg.
I miss toast, porridge and felafel. A biscuit with a cup of tea at night and fish n chips or a pie. A fruit salad ..... none desperately _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Going great guns!
I've dropped 3kg this year. Swimming a k comfortably now, about to head off shortly, eldest daughter Tamara is swimming too.
I can't stop eating the things I like, just doing it a bit smarter and you have to have a break out day once a week too I reckon.
Bloody beer... think I've smashed 5 or 6 cartons this R 'n R.... 16 stubbies yesterday, or thereabouts. Oh well, maybe I'll swim a few extra laps.
Off to the Casino for lunch today, a big staek sounds like a plan _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Swam 1500m then did 20 clicks on the pushy.
Now, a porterhouse, rissole, snag & zucchini on the BBQ with another box of Swan Draught. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Swimmings great but the alcohol needs to be reduced. The weight will pour off. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Agreed, if the choice is beer (and red wine) and being slightly overweight but happy, or no alcohol and being skinnier and not happy, simple choice for mine.
I did somewhere round an 800m swim yesterday, although mainly floating with the current probably doesn't count as strenuous exercise, nor would the 2 km walk to get to the beach and then home after the swim.
Was refreshing though. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

felafel is bad? bugger!! its really grown on me!!
my nephews wedding in 5 weeks, ive got to get rid of this pouch! ive never had a gut, even after the kids i did so much core work, it snapped right back! last week the physio gave me the go ahead to go full body, and a plan to start me off. yesterday i did the whole thing plus a bit more. didnt realize ive been doing lunges the hard way and thats why i fall over, she showed me the correct way, I was so happy i did 3 sets of 15. so today i really need an escalator instead of stairs! OMFG my butt is killing me!! the good thing is my right shoulder and neck are fine! Lighter weights, slower reps, im feeling stronger and more alive than i have in months! She even gave me some core work that wont strain my neck. today i did the neck shoulder rehab stuff and 45 good minutes on the treadmill, slight incline fast walk, big grocery shop, and a fair bit of housework!
goodbye bread, (dont miss it, ive never eaten much of it) cereal (well im seinfield when it comes to cereal so kill me now!) potatoes and rice, meh, im feeling better and less pudgy already (three days in!). im kinda following a Paleo hunter gatherer whole foods thing! I know exactly what to do, i just need to get out of the good paddock! I used the fear of pain excuse for too long, got to push through it, now or never! I just cant be past the mid range of what i should be, its just so uncomfortable. Im aiming for 2.5 - 3 before the wedding, allowing for adding some muscle back. ill get there!! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |
