WWE releases both Chris Kanyon and Ernest Miller

Ernest Miller was informed at last night's Smackdown taping in Tacoma, Washington that he was going to be released from his WWE contract. Miller was originally hired as an announcer for Velocity, but when that didn't work out, the decision was made to make him a full-time wrestler for the Smackdown brand.

Speaking of wrestlers being let go, Chris Kanyon has apparently been informed that he has also been released from his contract. The following message was posted on WWE.com earlier today: WWE’s Talent Relations Department has announced that Chris Kanyon has been released from his contract as of Monday, Feb. 9.

Kanyon has been struggling with injuries, and was sent to OVW where he re-injured himself. Pretty talented worker, had some lame gimmicks in WCW, worked alright with them though.

Miller was never my favourite wrestler, he was good on the mic, but his in ring work wasn't that great. Maybe he should go work for NWA-TNA and become a mic worker, rather than a wrestler. Because he has better mic skills than he does wrestling skills, his dancing also sucks.

Shame about Kanyon, I was a big fan, very talented worker, liked him in WCW. His match at Bash At The Beach 1998 against both Raven and Saturn was my favourite match of Kanyon's. Would of been good if Raven could of re-formed "The Flock" in the WWE, when they still had Saturn there.

They could of added Stevie Richards, Kanyon, Saturn to the stable, and one of the younger wrestlers coming through.

Yeah, he was working OVW when he came back from Injury, don't know if he got any TV time since the Alliance angle ended. Haven't been able to watch wrestling on T.V the last 3 years.
