Oh FFS (For f u c k s sake in case of doubt)
EA = Enterprise agreement. It's a form of industrial instrument that has surpassed Awards for most employees. Google is your friend here.
FWA is Fair Work Australia, the rebadged AIRC (Australian Industrial Relations Commission) which is the arbiter of industrial disputes and the body that signs off on EA's and makes decisions on modern award conditions. It's referred to by Labor as "the independent umpire" when they agree with it's decisions and by less complimentary names when they don't _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Daughter no 1 as part of her role opens a new store in the burbs on behalf of the company she works for. I think it's the first time she has been able to train people up to the extent that she can let them open the store through delegation of responsibilites. As Vic manager Vic is doing the best in Australia Australia is a bit of an overstatement as the store operates in NZ and thr Eatern States. NSW was operating at a profit when she was their manager. Next year they'll ask her to run a new store in another state beyond Eastern Australia.
Daughter no 2 sent me an email this morning. Her lecturer has asked persmission if she & another student's parpers can be used to show the class how an HD paper can be written. She didn't know the results of her paper; what a way to find out.
Really rapt for both of them. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

1 month down in the new job,
Had a chat with the boss today, long story short they're undertaking a very ambitious new HCM system implementation from next year. My boss was told she had to seconde 2 people to the project. They settled on 1 quickly then her boss asked about me.
I have a fairly unique skill set with a combination of generalist HR, management and IT which apparently made me an ideal fit.
So from a 3 month contract, I (lots of shit to be confirmed) may be looking at a 12-18 month contract doing exactly what i like doing.
Only sad part is I've invested a fair bit of energy into relationship building in my current role, and I've come a long way in a month. But it's an opportunity to participate in a game changer so I'm excited.
even better, the project will create some vacancies. I've put forward the name of my protege from where I used to work. Here's hoping _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

With respect to my Arts degree, I majored in history and also have a minor in international relations.
I'm planning to enrol at Leo Cussen Centre for Law which is an institution that gives students the opportunity to undertake practical legal training, which in turn will allow me to be able to be admitted as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of Victoria. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Congratulations Jezza. Well done.
Just promise me that you won't go into politics somewhere down the track. The last thing we need in our parliaments are more lawyers.
That and political party hacks.
And union leaders.
And IPA ideologues.
And faux christians. _________________ Side by side. |

Sorry Jezza. Just re-read my post. I'm not suggesting that you're any of the above, in case you read it that way. _________________ Side by side. |
