Played mainly backline this year, 17 games.

Was it like FB/CHB or liking running half-back?

Really (stronger than most)? I wouldn't have guessed that. He's quite light for his height.

As for "wild abandon play-on", again I'm thinking SM replacement/rival. (JM is faster!) We also seem desperate for a high-pressure fast forward...

Speaking of Pie/WAFL, I'll remind everyone that Jye Bolton is nominating for the draft.

Let me think about this …… no!

He also played at times on the ball. He did make the WAFL State team, though.

As some of the astute posters on this Board have highlighted; his disposal by foot was poor. He also panics a lot and plays on a lot in a wild, abandon kind of way. I gave up on the times he would drop simple chest marks when he played for the Pies.

At best and being complimentary, the games he played for the Pies would have been cough! cough! ….. serviceable.

He still has the pace and “X” factor.

After careful consideration … it’s still a no!.

Good summary ip. Thanks for your insight.

Don’t be hard on yourself - there’s still plenty of time for him to be thrashed pointless in a preliminary final by a foreign rookie. I reckon he’s got what it takes.

My mail suggests there was some bad blood between Marsh and the club, leading to his departure. I'm not sure it was handled well by the club at the time. However, I'd certainly welcome him back if the opportunity arose for him to return. He had loads of talent, but had a few weaknesses in kicking and decision-making.

I heard simmlar thing about the Reason he was Left.

Heard his relationship with People looking after Players Welfare was not very good

Are those people still at the club? If not, there's no problem with a potential return.

"Player Engagement" now includes Brent Macaffer, who was not yet retired as a player in JM's time, and Chris Dixon, who wasn't at Collingwood then, either.

It wouldn't be surprising. From memory, the media reported that there were about 40 staff changes. It's not obvious how there could have been so many changes, when almost no big fish were hooked. If it's true, that must have been a lot of little fish turned into canned sardines.

Yeah, perhaps Marsh wasn't the problem in that case.

Could do worse, I suppose, not really sure. He was a fairly exciting prospect who showed plenty of promise but by the time he left I thought he was a horrible kick, panicked under pressure and was also prone to soft tissue injury. Actually, on 2nd thought, it's a no from me

Wasn't it just that one really bad hamstring tear (which, for all we know, could be the club's fault, i.e. the club's strength & conditioning and rehab guys' fault)? If he hasn't had injury problems and hasn't lost his pace (fastest at the club!) since, maybe that's not something to worry about.

I liked his take the game on approach. Definitely worth a rookie spot...
