Officially delisted by Richmond.
https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/J/Jacob_Townsend.html
187cm, 25yo, defender/midfielder. (Do we have enough of those??)
The New South Welshman played in the inaugural GWS team and was traded to Richmond where he played in the winning GF team. How annoying, right?
He's listed as a defender, but in the 5 games he played in 2017, he kicked 16 goals 2 behinds, including 2 goals on the big day.
In 2018, he kicked 12 goals and had 30 tackles from 10 games.
After winning a JJ Liston, a flag and being on the edge of this er... Powerhouse Tigers team.... Is he a better option that Dan Menzel?
Or is he a player thats over hyped (and very lucky) because he played in a premiership? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned!

Also worth noting that the Swans have given him a medical along with Sutcliffe whilst also being in contact with Dan Menzel. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Slightly off topic but I have just read that Jarryd Lyons has been delisted by the Suns. One time good player at the Crows, great first year at the suns and now without a home.
For mine, easily the best player to be delisted by any club this season.
If we are looking for mid field depth on a cheap salary, I would be all over him.
He’s a Vic kid and he was a seriously good junior.
Hard to know just what went wrong up there. |

Lyons would be a great addition - shocked that he has been delisted by the Suns. |

Lyons has joined the Lions.
Forget him as an option.

No.
What is the fascination with delisted bums?
As soon as a new one appears, the question is asked.
We have enough depth.
Draft for the future. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

Lyons to Lions, huh? Is Fagin a pickpocket? Or is there a Twist in the tale? |

When no club would take them with their last picks you have to ask why? The same goes with our delistings. They are being overlooked for a reason and that is they are not up to it. |

Blair. I heard he was delisted by his club... Maybe we should pick him up? What's your thoughts? He's a premiership player |

Will Langford also delisted by Hawthorn. I always liked him very much as a bull midfielder. He says that he is determined to be a one player only club, but is he worth persauding to change his mind? _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Yeah but there's always that diamond.
Leigh Brown was dumped by two clubs before he created the infamous "Leigh Brown Role" and became a cult hero at Collingwood.
Most delisted players dont get a second chance. And the ones that do often dont last more than a season or two at their new club. But there's always that one player out there..... _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
