Oh geez, you're a happy soul aren't you Eddie!!
I like the fact that we will be underdogs. I think we go better with our backs against the wall. |

We're clear underdogs, but let's give it everything we have.
The boys will be up for the fight, and we've taken it up to Richmond in our last two games before injuries and fatigue got the better of us. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

They obviously dont want us to come. |
I heard somewhere that the going rate for a return flight from Melbourne to Perth (for Melbourne supporters) is $2400?????? That's a fu*(ng disgrace. |
PER -> MEL, 20-22 Sep. around $800 return? |

I'm convinced Moore is in Buckley's best 22 for the game against Richmond.
I'm just about convinced he's not playing for anything else than he's not staying.
I hope I'm wrong but he suffered his seemingly minor hamstring injury (he did run off) 6 weeks ago now. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

This oft-mentioned argument scares me a bit. Do we really know that was the reason? And, unfortunately, we don't have an 8-day break now.

I can't imagine that would be the case.
How many times has he injured a hamstring this year? I'd have to check to be sure. Three? Certainly, if he'd been right two weeks ago, he'd have played in the VFL final.
Some players missing from the 2nd Rich. vs Coll. game:
Treloar, JdG, Howe for 3 quarters, Goldsack, Aish, Sier, Reid.
[But the first three played all of the 1st game.]
Missing now from that game:
Scharenberg, Moore, Murray. |

Nah, we're playing well without him. Goldsack is getting the job done and the Tigers don't have multiple tall forwards. Given his injuries this year, he's too much of a risk.
Maybe we'd want him available for a potential Eagles matchup, but we did well enough against their talls last time. _________________ Well done boys! |

Yep, we didn’t play well last night but won anyway.
I reckon if we played Richmond ten times, we’d win three, and Friday night will be one of those three. |

Tigs will be rusty and we will be on song.

If Moore is ready we bring him in. If we win we have to find a tall defender for Kennedy or McDonald. It’s now or never. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

Our first prelim since 2012, and only 5 players remaining from that campaign, 2 of whom are no longer in our best 22.
That night didn't end well; it was obvious that Sydney and Hawthorn had passed both us and Geelong by then, thus Buckley started his ruthless cull of the 2010 premiership team soon after.
So Richmond would have been watching last night's game absolutely praying for a GWS win, and planning a repeat of the 2017PF.
Well too f&cking bad arseholes; you get us instead, and that I have no doubt changes their entire mindset and preparation.
They know shit just got real a week early; your genuine finals start now.
As many of you have said, it is indeed a free-hit at these pricks, with the weight of expectation on their shoulders, while we play the underdog card.
The relief on their faces when they beat us last time was evident.
Still, plenty of room for improvement, and a few players will need to lift their work rates next week if we are to advance any further.
This game is winnable, BUT everything needs to go right for us.
Cleaner hands, straighter kicking for goal, and the same endeavour must be brought to the table on friday night, in order to cause an upset.
Now a very light week on the track for the squad would be in order, the heavy lifting to get this far has been done, and done very well. Recovery mode is now our objective on a 6 day break.
Rocca to do bodywork with Cox during the week, would be most wise.
Things can't be too bad for us after all if Reid and Moore can't get a game?
They still need to be well stretched and put through their paces at training though, as they've had many weeks of minimal impact to their bodies.
If we manage to fluke bald dog Nicholls, that biased whistle-happy shit stack next week, we are in trouble before the game even begins. Hope Eddie intervenes here and this arsehat gets shipped off to Perth [along with Stevic], or better still, retired for the remainder of 2018. Ray was okay.
So for those of you who score a ticket - go hard for the rest of us! _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
