Am I correct in understanding that at the moment the players named aren't actually All Australians yet but nominees in a squad to decide who becomes an All Australian player ? |

With Gawn winning the AFL coaches award on 97 and Grundy coming in 4th on 82, surely they must pick them both. |

I don't know about Gawn - but Grundy is the best player in the AFL, so he should be in. |

Grundy is so much more than a ruckman it's not funny
His stats are something to behold
I'm sure he will make it if the "experts" have any idea of what his true value to a side that finished 3rd really is |

Especially if they rewatch him monstering Melbourne in the round 12 game. He won the ruck and demolished their midfield physically. Notably, he got coaches' votes in that game and Gawn didn't. |

I note that Sidebottom placed 3rd and Pendlebury 6th in the Age Footballer of the Year award. Grundy not in the Top 10-15. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

If we are playing richmond in the GF then he would be the no. 1 player I would like to have injured.

The people who award votes at The Age need new jobs. |

Yep, tend to agree. Grundy has been a top 10 player for us this season and will win the Copeland I would anticipate. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Announced in the News section of the Footy Live app:
"Wednesday night's AA function... will feature two specialist ruckmen in the 22 for the first time since 2012 ...Gawn probably will be named the #1 ruckman and... Grundy also will be in the lineup" _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

It’s a shame that Tom Phillips or Brayden Maynard weren’t nominated. Oh well, you can’t get ‘em all right! |
