People don’t think he has a genuine role teaching our younger players how to be seriously ungracious in defeat, especially in big games? |

No thanks. He seems to cause division amongst his teammates. After we let go of Heath Shaw, a superior player and lifelong Pies man, for being disruptive and demonstrative in his behaviours, why would we pick up Goddard?
He has also lost his physical edge a little. Not as precise with his kicking nor quick with his movement.
Anyhow, we do still have Murphy, Maynard, Aish, Langdon, Oxley, Crisp, Murray, Appleby, Howe and possibly Goldsack to play as a half back flankers next season in addition to Scharenberg once he returns. That's plenty of options.
I think Jay Clark is way off the money in suggesting we might look at him, simply because 1 similar-sized player on our list has done an ACL. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Correct on all counts; he'd be better served going back to St.Vomit, or perhaps Carlton, who he supported growing up.
He had his chance to join us years ago, and pissed it against the wall. Bye bye. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

It might help him in his therapy to get over the 2010 GF. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Oh look, i'm still having flashbacks to that draw, don't worry about him....

I tend to disagree, I think he could be a real Leader on our backline, ala Nick Maxwell. Remember that amazing mark in the drawn GF, that nearly cost us the flag ?? Look, if we can get him cheap, real cheap, then I reckon go for it, sign him for I year, what have we got too lose. ? I actually thought he had a decent yr with the Dons, and he can fill in for Schrenberg. A back six of Howe, Dunn, Langodon, Goddard, Maynard, and, say, goldsack, would have to be a pretty tight unit. I reckon if he comes cheap, say 300 k for one yr, we should go for it. Wells may retire, so we lose nothing really. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
