^ actually, I wish many politicians would be a little less careful with their language. While some express absent or conformist thought with language that is excessively colourful (SHY and Leyonhjelm), most speak in blandishments, desperate to avoid a gaffe (definition: saying what you think in a way which is contrary to fashionable opinion).
On the Sudanese gang issue, the numbers speak for themselves. It is not scapegoating a community to express facts. _________________ Two more flags before I die!

Interesting they use "dark skinned", yet the Herald Sun says they were african and on 3AW they spoke to the victims son.
Quote: | The victim has described the alleged perpetrators as of African appearance, against between 17 and 25. |

That's part of why I think they're referred to as gangs. This shit is being organised. They have rehearsed tactic to get someone to stop the car and get out, and they would have a plan in mind for the car they stole. It's not just random, I wouldn't be surprised if they're stealing to order for a larger gang that specialises in re-birthing stolen cars. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

It's definitley organized as were the jewellery shops.
While African can we be sure the perpetrators were Sudanese. I know Skids would call them Muslim however the reports were one of them was 170 cm. Doesn't fit on my racial profiling _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Its only frustrating if you care about reality. If ideology filters all you can see, then life is always affirming. They sleep the sleep of the just, especially because its not likely to be their home or car. These things mostly happen to people in the cheap seats of life, where policy-making classes rarely wander. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Wow, so great to read such an unfiltered, ideologically free and objective post. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Glad you found it edifying. The objective facts here have been canvassed earlier, by myself and others : Sudanese youth are staggeringly over-represented in violent crime. Only those with severe ideological blinkers wish to deflect that fact, or to ignore its policy implications. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Nice to be so certain of everything, no room for doubt or grey areas I recall someone saying on VPT more than once _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

^ one should always distinguish between facts and interpretation. The dramatic overrepresentation of Sudanese youth in serious violent crime, and the tendency for crime to affect poor people far more than those with power are facts. Do you deny them ?
That some prominent media figures seek to deflect or deny these facts is not civilized scepticism, its just ideological duplicity. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Facts are always open to interpretation. Political expediency is a crude way to interpret facts. Dutton & Mad Misygnist Monk are exemplars of crude.
I would like a decent criminoloigist to interpet facts. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

That comment might still be written above the office door of Pravda. Once you think that, anything becomes possible. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |
