Apart from the obvious responses how do we beat Richmond this week?

Obvious reposnses include: (Kick a higher score than Richmond by the time the final siren sounds).

Its a good start, but the game starts and ends at the contested possession count for mine, must nut them and nut them good Sir!

Richmond are happy to lose the contested possession count but instead force the turnover, so it'll take more than winning the contested possessions - more important will be disposal efficiency, especially from those contested possessions that we win (and certainly no dodgy backline kicks resulting in turnovers will help)

Interesting point re contested possessions. "We" often/somethimes beat Hawthorn in contested possessions but they smashed us on the scoreboard.

Pies 1- 24 @ $5 is for me this week. With a little dabble on us by over 15 @$7 as well.
I'm also on both teams to score 90 points or more @ $6.

With Cox causing chaos in our forward 50 and Moore intercepting in theirs, I can't see us losing this.

Pies by 21 points Cool

It will be a miracle if we get within 10 goals, whilst belting a mediocre opponent the week before is great for confidence, just like last time we will get a wakeup call. Besides, if we get beaten comfortably by West Coast at the MCG, how can you possibly expect to get close to let alone beat the Tigers?

I like your confidence but Id like a drug test. Too many marathon dim sims can catch up with you.

Were you at the same cafe in Firzroy Street as Josh Thomas when the barista misheard his cocoa order?

It wasn't me WPT, as I never travel south of the Yarra. Cool

Smart move. I've heard disturbing stories about the fauna down there

Tony Sheahan reporting that Sidebottom has undergone surgery tonight and is out for 3 weeks.

Despite earlier reports, its understood @CollingwoodFC star Steele Sidebottom underwent surgery tonight in Melbourne.

Could be up to 3 weeks on the sidelines

^ Surgery on what? Is this TS reliable usually? [He seems like a bit of an unsavoury character, quite frankly.]

Do you normally even have surgery at night? After all, this is not an emergency situation. Another question is when exactly the footage of SS saying it's all fine was taken...

Yes, jaw was the problem for Steele. Loss of Treloar and Steele will make it very challenging to beat the Tigers if it proves to be the case, along with Dunn etc.

This is Eddie's ringing endorsement from the (relatively distant) past:

"I think the source of that story there, Tony Sheahan, is just an unmitigated idiot and I will be taking legal action," McGuire said.

"That is someone way out of his depth ... he's been a failed reporter and he's shown today why.

"I don't like going after people like that but I have to defend myself, my club and my integrity and I'll do that with everything I can, so Tony Sheahan, good luck pal."

is that from the incident where he rode a terrific bump that left his north counterpart with a cut to the head?
