He was incredibly complimentary of Callum Brown's game tonight. He noticed his very very clesan hands in congestion and his hard at the ball style (that is reminiscent of his dad). I rate that.
Think the kids should see some more game time and think he has a good shot at establishing himself in our team. |
Not before me.
As for Brown, see my comment above. The main problem with our midfield is that the "in and under players" (other than Pendlesthegreat) do not have clean hands and don't always make good decisions in the traffic. This lad does. He doesn't have his father's freakish physical talents (I don't think he's going to kick five goals at FF in a second semi-final or play FB because he's the only guy in the team with enough talent to run with Buddy) but he can certainly play centre in a premiership team. |

Correct , his younger brother will be the one kicking 5 in the second semi😛 |

Well, I always used to joke that we needed three of Gavin - one at FF, one at FB and one in the middle, so if you’re right, we’ll just be one Brown short. |

Will probably take more than two years but I agree with the premise. JT is a similar player: small, quickish, clean hands and moves well in traffic. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

He is a gun - his decision making is that far ahead of some of the other players in the team, he occasionally makes mistakes as where he is expecting his team mate to be smart enough to run to doesn't happen. I rate his football smarts up there with Pendles and Sidebottom. _________________ Toby for President |

Perspective people.
He is doing as much as most young players who have only played 7 games have done. Some good things, some bad things. But overall the right things.
Signs are good and promising. That’s all.
Let him play 50+ games in the Seniors before any real analysis of his game can commence.
Because at the moment he is only icing. It’s the cake that really needs more substance to it. _________________ Go Pies 2011!!!!

I sensed a little increase in confidence from Cal last night. I reckon as he gets more experience and strength he’ll start taking it on
More. Then look out. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

The first half of his old man's career was brlliant.
His second wasn't because his body was wrecked from his tenacity and playing at CHF.
Lets hope Cal isn't so brave. |

Not to say young Cal will be same type like dad —he displays the same courage at this stage
It’s his awareness of what is going on in the game which helps position him
where he can be his best
Glandular fever robbed him of a whack at first year—no such problem 2018 _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I've been saying the same thing since I first watched him in training but it will take a bit of time before we see him at his best due to his losing 6 months of his career to grandular fever. |
