Indeed, Baz. But that was known beforehand. Well, in JS's case there are knowns and there are unknowns, and at least it is reasonably well known what the unknowns are, if you know what I mean.
This reminds me more of Didak. I'm not sure what the precise details are on Didak, but of course it didn't stop him continuing a successful career. |

We all have options on our recruiting and our coaching but set that aside
And think what rotten luck with injuries since the 2010 triumph
Goldy on his second major injury
Shaz in fifth season has lost at least two thru major injury
Reid was almost two seasons off the paddock
And Dane Swan with a possible two more seasons ahead cut short
Those come to mind and bet more can be added over a half a dozen seasons _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Yes, I think I'm still too sad to watch that now-old Collingwood Media Swan doco. |

Update on Kirby
Relieved to hear positive update on Kayle Kirby this morning. Stable and club buoyant about full recovery/heart returning to usual rhythm of own accord. He’s a beauty, Kirby. Cult figure. @7NewsMelbourne _________________ All We Can Be |

The tigers do pretty damn well with a midget forward line though. |
Funnily enough, so did the dogs in 2016.
Maybe the game is changing. Who would have thought. |

From that, Reid, Moore, Wells, Fasolo, Elliot, Goldsack, De Goey and Greenwood are missing from our best 22.
Imagine all those guys at full fitness. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Sadly, Wells is only one more calf / Achilles strain away from being yet another fail as a free agent player at Collingwood. |

Buckley revealed that the painkilling green whistle didn’t work for Broomhead, meaning he was in agony for a longer period of time than he needed to be.
“The whistle didn't work. ‘Broomy’ felt most of it most of the time on the night. He is a good kid and we will support him,” Buckley said.
...
“‘Faz’ was standing 20 metres away from Kirby, and he said he was saying, ‘I'm struggling to breathe, I'm struggling to get up’.
“Kayle was stable through the entire experience. He just didn't know what was going on.
“Kirby won't play this weekend.”

I am surprised to see so many leg injuries (hamstrings and quadriceps). There are a significant number of players who tape their shoulders and arms (eg Varcoe last Saturday) but I have never seen any prevention for leg injuries. Furthermore anyone who has torn their leg muscles (and a pull or strain is a tear categorised as minor) will know it can take 12 months of rehab to gain full strength. Continued tearing will become chronic and never repair totally (eg Buckley). I have not seen the proven method to support leg injuries such as kinesiology tape and compression clothing being used. eg If I was Daniel Wells I would be wearing compression socks. |

Buckley revealed in his interview with Gerard Healy that Kirby has atrial fibrillation. Hope it doesn’t spell the end of his football career (Kirby’s that is). |
