It was stated our injury list is short and sweet.
Yet here we have the fans moaning about our retched luck.
GWS had about the same number of injuries.
GWS had Greene and Scully out today and we got Moore and Reid and Broomhead out. Not much different, probably hurt GWS more than us in terms of quality. |
And GWS has the ability to replace their injuries with potentially a player who was first round draft price and a B Grader at worst. A very different situation created by the manipulation of the AFL by draft manipulation and the creation of the player acadamy. |
Listen Pal ...who gave them 2 top 7 picks year on year?
Who gave them a AA defender?
Oh yes ...that was us! |

And we had Elliott,Wells,Fasolo, and Degoey out as well.We pretty well had no forward line today. You don't think that's worth mentioning at all? |
No KPP there.
Fasolo was named in the VFL ...so he wasn't injured.
Wells...
..came across from norf with his own wheelchair! |
Reid?Moore?Elliott chopped liver? |
Reid and Mòore went down today.
I imagine Reid will be back next week.
Elliot seems to be at the casualty station more than the average joe blow.
Anyway, most sides realize now that you put a bigger body both height and weight and a fast one at that on him to nullify his ability.
Has worked of late when he has played. |

Ummmm. but we had NO Elliott, Fas, De Goey, Wells, Greenwood Reid, to begin the game, Giants did not have that to contend with, PRE game. ! |
Did you see that midget forward line!
Do you think Sydney or Hawthorn have ever had a forward line like that!
It was a drafting issue.
Midgets first and KPP last ...that was the problem. |
well, today we had no damn forward line at all. Get real. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

So what have been our draft picks in terms of KPP's in the last few years. Moore ......any more!
That is right....we want Moore down back.
Any mid can play forward on the flanks and pockets.
Where is our alternate spine????
Bloody nowhere?
Reason...lousy recruiting. |

That much is true. So why the mindless bombing into the forward line when there were only midgets down there? |

It has happened every year for the last 6 years.
Every time I pass a work mate at the sweat shop ...he says the same thing...bomb it long...just bomb it long.
Not as if the opposition don't know it will happen. |

The tigers do pretty damn well with a midget forward line though. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

And what do they do when a tall forward taken from selected side
Replace him with a small player (no offence to Broomhead who went down in battle)
Chris Mayne who had quad issues but roll the dice and risk a McLarty or the 6ft 6in. bootstudder
OK silly there but bugger a small for a tall🤬😡 _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Yep,
If you go back to the draft threads many of us said get the KPPs, we need one each end. Last two weeks it’s obvious we are too short and too lean. Cox may be one of the tallest players in the comp, but he’s a read that is too easily knocked over. And he needs those sticky gloves. Until we get agenuine solid KPP, we will be looking like headless chooks. So much grunt work required, magnifies the skills errors. How many times last night was it comical whenthe ball bombed into the forward line, to see 6 footers simply towered over? We had no hope of taking a mark. Moore wasn’t bad, but he needs time and another 10kg of solid muscle. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I see. To be honest, I wondered immediately why it hadn't been picked up earlier. That depends on what specifically "it" is, of course. I guess Kirby did not go to the national or state draft combine in his year, did he?
The Broomhead accident looked horrific. (I also wonder what exactly is in that green stick.) |

It's reported to be a heart irregularity. He could have an enlarged heart that is so efficient it beats very slowly, then at some point it stops beating altogether and the person collapses. The heart begins to beat again on its own accord and the person revives. It's a common problem with a few athletes with outstanding aerobic capacity and it could be a similar condition to the one diagnosed with Stephenson. Strange with all the testing AFL clubs do with their players, that they didn't pick up anything up with Kirby. |

I don't know if the club does any testing. At the national combine, they certainly do. |
