Is it up to standard?

There's a lot more stoppages in this league. The ball doesn't travel as far or as fast.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the amount of umpiring mistakes is rather high and very inconsistent.

One in particular is incorrect disposal. It's a flip of a coin to see weather its going to be paid or not.

I think the umpiring is atrocious in the women's competition.

They let everything go and then pu;; out some soft free kick.
I don"t get it. Very frustrating when the girls are working really hard to tackle and there is no reward. If they paid the free kicks the game might actually open up.

Yep. After 2 rounds of a new season, the umpiring is more than half the issue in this league. Again.

It'd be a tough gig to umpire AFLW, but ffs, how many blunders do they make?

I'm standing by this.

The umpiring is awful in the AFLW.

"Both Carlton and Collingwood have reacted angrily to a tweak to AFLW rules that was communicated to the Blues only half an hour before the Saturday night game, while the Pies claim they were not informed at all."
