Besides this I believe Dave is off the mark and we will finish low to mid eight in a very even season.
.....Ahh finals....
<snip> |
That is correct... to an extent. Smart punters use the weight of money for sides that realistically aren't in the race and blow out the price of true contenders and then pounce.
I backed Richmond at 14/1 to win the flag, 8 weeks before the finals. |
On this theme, I therefore think it's the betting agencies' over/under figures that one should follow. I'm told that those really are their predictions and the betters' behaviour won't change where the line is.
From TAB, this gives:
perm{Adelaide, Sydney}
perm{Geelong, GWS, Port}
perm{Melbourne, Richmond}
perm{Collingwood, Essendon, Bulldogs}
perm{Hawthorn, WCE}
StK
Freo
perm{Brissy, North}
perm{Carlton, GC},
leaving one free to choose the order in each bracket. |

Did I just see a pig flying past? Am I making my Mojjitos too strong?

Well, E, I was thinking that, even in the current impoverished times, a team probably needs to have made the finals at some point in the previous few years. (I see that the Dogs barely managed even that lowly requirement.) |
