Bloody hell. I don’t get why there’s a statute of limitations on rape? Surely thebastard should be locked up for a long time now. If only half of that is true. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Yes, if true, and he deserves a trial before it is assumed to be so, the law should take its course and I hope it is severe in its judgement if the case is proven. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Maybe he can run to Paris, hide from the US law and keep making movies. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Difference with Weinstein is that he probably has such a rap sheet in France, as well as everywhere else, that anywhere he goes he might face repercussions.
Honestly, it’d be a massive indictment on the justice system if he doesn’t get some sort of punishment for some of the things he’s done. Now some actual rape allegations are coming out, something has to stick. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

one drugs and rapes a 13 year old, goes free.
Another sexually abuses and maybe rapes multiple people who don't report for years as it would effect their careers and therefore their potential income. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

And now Kevin Spacey is a paedophile abuser too, another "open secret" in the degenerate cesspool of Hollywood. Rumours of Bryan Singer being the next domino to fall.
I'd say this rabbit hole goes very, very deep. There might not be much of a movie industry left once all the dirt gets washed away. |

I wouldn't consider spacey a paedophile OR abuser based on a sample size of 1 report. I actually thought his message was well written when he apologised, but he's coping it left right and centre for coming out as Gay in the same document, big time.
Interesting reaction.
I saw something that referred to a family guy cartoon from a few years back where Stewey (the baby) was running through a shopping centre yelling he'd just escaped from Kevin Spacey's basement. This may have more legs. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I suspect ultimately coming out is a self-protective mechanism for him; in this day and age, not wanting anyone to know what your sexuality is – when being closeted is no longer particularly common – could be interpreted as having something to hide, particularly in the context of an allegation like this. But I can understand why people are reading it as a diversion tactic. If so, it seems to have backfired badly.
Otherwise, the first part of it did seem quite gracious (and even refreshing in his refusal to deny guilt or cast aspersions on the victim), as these things go, although of course it’s impossible to know whether he’s telling the truth about having been too drunk to remember what happened. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
