The reality is Crocker wont be taking the list spot of a prized high draft selection or valuable mature aged recruit

Both of these happened this year, and given Crocker's performance it was costly.

What are you talking about?

His spot on our list of 38 had no bearing on our ability to bring in Mayne as one example and his presence wont stop us selecting a player at pick 6 or 36 this year.

He's been in the system for all of 2 years and was injured for the second half of this season. People need to learn some patience and give young players an opportunity to develop before casting them aside as not all are stars and no team has 22 A grade talents.

If he fails to progress in the next 2 years then I'm sure he'll be let go and no one will say he wasn't given a decent opportunity to succeed.

Sorry. Misread your post as "spot in the team" not on the list.

I don't have a problem with him being re-signed. Hasn't shown be much yet, but enough to keep his spot on the list and hope he develops further.

Better be on absolute minimum.

I wondered what had happened to him this year. Showed some good signs, he just seemed to get muscled out of the contest a little too easily. Still young and don't see any harm in persisting with for another year

Strange decision. Completely understand giving him another year, but I don't understand the 2nd year at all.
