Agree Rupert and Jordey midfield. Adams as captain. Put the acid on the team to step up and fill the void left by Pendles. _________________ People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again. |

Might as well give Treloar time off as well to get right. Playing with a bad groin. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

Looks like that time of year has arrived again. The time where we send our players in for surgery coz the season is rooted. Must be July.
Didn't Darren Millane play for a month with a broken thumb? _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Funny isn't it - if we were making an bonafide charge to the eight right now, we'd all be spitting blood with the loss of Pendles.
But because we ain't, we just say yeah chuck him in cotton wool for the remainder of 2017.
I reckon we will lose probably at least one player each round between now and the rest of the season, to go into mothballs for 2017.
We should really run a book on it; i'll nominate in this order:
Rnd. 18: Wells
Rnd. 19: Reid/Goldsack
Rnd. 20: Treloar/Howe
Rnd. 21: Varcoe/Elliott
Rnd. 22: Grundy/Moore
Rnd. 23: irrelevant now. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Pendlebury has looked injured for about a month prior to this injury. I really hope they don't bother bringing him back to try and save Buckley's arse and just keep an eye on his welfare and 2018. |

"playing with a bad groin". That might be the understatement of the year. He has been a cripple for the last 4 weeks. It is obvious his OP is back in a pretty bad way. took him about 1 minute to get off the deck at one point against Gold Coast. Poor guy is battling hard out there. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

E live at the game you could clearly see he is very badly hampered by injury. He's lost that line breaking speed off the mark and every time he goes to kick he barely gets his leg to follow through
Personally I think we are killing the kid for no reason right now. If he needs to get a operation send him now and make sure he's ready to go for the start of 2018 |

Treloar and Pendles shouldn't be out there for the remainder of the season in my view. We should be protecting the players ahead of the long preseason starting in November, to prepare them for the 2018 season. Let's not jeopardise our 2018 season as well as our 2017 season going belly up. We still have plenty of midfielders in the team who can play the role including Sidey in career best form so no need to play clearly injured players. |

No point killing your players, if they are injured send them in for operations.
Buckley has to make a call on this, and this may not be totally to his detriment either.
Treloar, Pendlebury, Wells, Elliott, Varcoe, Reid, Goldsack, Scharenberg and WHE if they need ops and/or rest their hammies.....whatever their ailment!!
Its time to recuperate, repair and revise the list for 2018. Lets check out Kirby, Daicos, Brown, McLarty, McCarthy, Wills, Aish etc etc.
See what Mayne has to offer, see what White is like in defence, see what Keeffe or Langdon are like up forward ......experiment but avoid the wooden Spoon and we will be better placed for 2018.
Time to look after the Collingwood football club and give us the chance for a better 2018!!!! CMON !! _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

I hear you but if Buckley has been told that he needs to win 9-10 games to have any chance of an extension then what should he do?
We play West Coast & Adelaide at home in the coming weeks along with Kangaroos at Etihad. |

If our finals hope remains mathematically possible he should play. How much more damage can he do to a finger. Just get a jab for the pain. Once finals is definitely out put him on ice. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'
