That Ryan Burton is a freaking superstar - I would have given him the 5. |

Of the leaders -
73 Dustin Martin (Rich)
72 Patrick Dangerfield (Geel)
57 Elliot Yeo (WC)
56 Joel Selwood (Geel)
53 Gary Ablett (GC)
53 Rory Sloane (Adel)
48 Zach Merrett (Ess)
48 Scott Pendlebury (Coll)
48 Sebastian Ross (StK)
48 Dayne Zorko (BL)
- Dangerfield will probably get the 10 and Zorko (181 AF points), the 8 in the Cats big win. J Selwood could get minor votes.
Martin won't get a vote. Under 20 disposals. _________________ Donny.

Only way I can calculate the voting is as follows
Fantasia 5-3
Zarharkis 4-3
Hurley 5-0
Kelly 4-0
Elliott 2-0
Sidey 2-0
Heppell 1-0
Parish 1-0
Big variations in opinions between the 2 coaches. Looks like each coach could only find 1 Collingwood player each in th best 5
Surprising Langdon didn't get the 10 votes. Means the coaches and every poster bar 1 in the GB medal didn't rate his game either. How can everyone be so wrong and 1 person so right 😭😭 |

Thanks for pointing that out. I knew Langdon was a star but I hadn't realised that his disposal efficiency was better than Tom Michell and Sam Mitchell this season and that he has fewer clangers per game than either of them. |

And you missed the most obvious one
There both called Tom !!!
The big difference is one of the Tom's will add to there 24 career Brownlow votes the other Tom won't add to the single (1) career Brownlow vote
You guess which Tom is which ?? |

P4S I understand it must be hard to have hang your hat on a player in 2009 who you thought would be a star only to have those dreams shattered and then have to come to the realisation that he isn't so you pick another new recruit and hope for a different outcome.
Mate you can't blame Sidey completely for his marvellously underwhelming career. He wasn't responsible for using pick 11 on himself and the expectations of going to the biggest club in the land and failing to live up to your lofty expectations especially the same year our pick 29 had an immediate and lasting impact on the team. Heck for every Beams who's drafted who wins rising star nomination, best first year player, premiership player, all Australian honours, Copeland trophy, AFLCA MVP award and 2 top 10 Brownlow medal finishes & 3 media awards for best player in a specific season you get a dozen or more Sidey's.
I get you decided hey I'll take a low draft pick and hang my hat on them and hope to find a jewel with a late pick like a Swan or Beams but in all, honestly your more likely to find a Yagmoor
I get your a man of conviction and sticks solid with your picks no matter how much evidence is layer bare to the contrary that your selections are just average players who at any other club may not be getting a game.
If your looking for the next Copeland winner (outside Pendles) and our next real chance to win a Brownlow or at least reach double digits in Brownlow voting and give you a chance to be in the conversation I'll tip you into a couple. Try Misters DeGoey or Trelaor. They will both win a Copeland before they retire (actually might win a few between them) and Treloar proved last year he will always feature in Brownlow voting even in a team that isn't going well.
Time to change horses mate and back a winner |

Martin, Mitchell and Ablett all racked up 40 or more disposals.
Dangerfield sustained an injury and was rested at FF. Although only 20 disposals, he kicked 5.6 and will be well in the votes.
Will be interesting to see who draws votes for us, considering 6 different players scored the 5 votes in GB voting. _________________ Donny.

Yes, Langdon is better than both.
When he gets 40 odd possessions & influences a game like they do, get back to me
I thought he looked a bit better this week although to ignore players in better positions when he has the ball literally moving forward like he did yesterday is a blight on his game _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

With Pendles sidelined, this award and the Copeland is now a 3 player race.
Adams, Treloar and Sidey.
*Pies4, Goldy should be on 5 votes. _________________ Donny.
